Mullet Bay Beach on Dutch St. Maarten - SXM Beaches 14 of 37
St. Maarten Beaches
Almost adjacent to Maho Beach, this is a surfers paradise when the conditions are "right". Mullet Bay Beach borders on the island's only 18-hole golf course and is very popular with locals, especially on the weekends. Seagrape trees provide shade for those who are sensitive to the sun's rays and heat. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are also available. BBQ is available as are cold beers and soft drinks. Before Hurricane Luis in ’95, Mullet Bay was the leading resort on the Island and the beach had many more attractions than it does today but it’s still highly recommended.
You can also search for free souvenirs as there are all types of shells and little pieces of interestingly shaped coral that could grab your eye. Also a great beach to watch both the sunrise and sunset it is also the widest beach on the Island.
